Iraqi Oil & Gas
Risks, Opportunities &
Potential
Monday 27 and Tuesday 28 June 2005, Imperial College
180 Queen’s Gate, Kensington, London SW7, England
At this critical time, Target EC took a considerable initiative by inviting a group of
outstanding Iraqi petroleum geoscientists and petroleum engineers working or
have work-life experiences on northern, central, and southern Iraqi oil fields,
to confer in London and share with us their remarkable experiences, technical
studies, and answer our hitherto un-answered and difficult questions about
various aspects of Iraq’s oil and gas industry.
This conference is the second
international conference on the oil and gas resources of Iraq to be organised
by Target ExplorationÅ to provide a neutral platform in the
scientific atmosphere of the Imperial College for technical and managerial
staff of Iraq and surrounding countries to:
Who should attend? Staff of national and international oil companies and other organizations operating, investing or planning to invest in the upstream oil and gas industry of Iraq (and other MENA countries) are the usual participants in Target Exploration conferences, including:
Exploration and Production Staff, Upstream Staff, New Ventures Staff, Energy Economists, Energy Planners, Political Analysts, Legal Staff, Financial Advisers, Environmental Staff of Iraqi and International Oil Companies. Also,
Representatives of Service Companies, Governments, Energy
Investors, Safety and Environmental Agencies.

Interpretations
·
Kirkuk
is a kind of geologic freak
·
Requires
late migration and generation
·
Multiple
source rock horizons
·
Dunnington
precursor-structure is still possible by not required
·
Multi
trap fill spill into Kirkuk.
5.
Consequences
·
Is it
likely to find another Kirkuk?
·
Kirkuk's
oil may mask future gas character of region
·
Prospects
on Kirkuk spill fill path can be spill full
